If the Senate, like the House, had majority rule, Congress would have little difficulty tackling all the problems you list. <br /><br />It's only because of the rules the Senate has imposed on itself (combined with the decision by GOP Senators to exploit those rules to the fullest for partisan gain) that it is the place bills go to die.<br /><br />There is no chance of abolishing the Senate anyway, so it is better to focus on what is (remotely) doable: changing the cloture rules.Ron E.noreply@blogger.com
