Friday Obama Caption Contest & Kitsch Cover
Original Caption: "President Barack Obama makes an election night phone call to Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) from his Treaty Room office in the White House residence a couple of minutes after midnight, Nov. 3, 2010."
Today's Kitsch Cover is William Shatner performing Cee-lo's masterpiece, "Fuck You":
Totally off topic, I had a post over at CogBlog that's really more of a Donkeylicious sort of topic. I'd be interested to know what you guys think about it.
In the post, I look at the three Senate classes and point out that we've only got a couple of decent Senate pickup opportunities between now and 2016, so Obama's never again going to be within shouting distance of breaking a GOP filibuster.
In other words, unless the Senate Dems get rid of the filibuster, Obama's Presidency is effectively over. Aside from minimizing the damage that the GOP can do, we all might as well sit around and twiddle our thumbs between now and the end of Obama's second term.
Anyhow, stop by, comment, and feel free to quote at length over here if you think my argument holds water. I'm pretty sure it does.
"So, you proposed a balanced budget yet? How 'bout now? Now?"
I feel as if Nick is making the point that the caption of this picture and the Kitsch Cover should be somewhat related, somehow.
